Job Description
Are you outgoing, friendly, and love interacting with people? Safeway is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Supermarket Taste Tester / Sampler! In this exciting part-time role, you’ll be the face of new and exciting products, offering samples to customers and gathering their valuable feedback. No prior experience is required – we’ll provide comprehensive training to ensure you’re confident and successful. If you have a passion for food and a friendly personality, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and offer food samples to customers in a clean and appealing manner.
- Engage with customers, describe products, and answer basic questions.
- Collect customer feedback on sampled products.
- Maintain a clean and organized sampling station.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Represent Safeway with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Set up and break down sampling displays efficiently.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (training provided).
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or promotions.
- A genuine interest in food and new culinary products.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant local languages).
