Job Description

Join University Health as a Trainee Hospital Ward Clerk, an essential office role supporting the efficient operation of our hospital wards. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in healthcare administration without prior clinical experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient records and charts accurately and confidentially.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages for ward staff and patients.
  • Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures as directed by medical staff.
  • Order and manage office supplies for the ward.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, medical staff, and other departments.
  • Prepare and process discharge paperwork and other administrative documents.
  • Assist with visitor inquiries and provide general information.
  • Ensure the ward's administrative area is organized and professional.

Required Skills

  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
