Job Description
We are actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Triage / Telehealth Nurses to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for qualified nurses, including those requiring visa sponsorship, to contribute to patient care from a dynamic telehealth environment. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, utilizing your clinical expertise to assess symptoms, provide medical advice, and guide patients to the appropriate level of care via phone or video consultation. You will play a critical role in patient education and advocacy, ensuring optimal health outcomes while working within a supportive and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephonic and video triage assessments for patients presenting with a wide range of medical concerns.
- Utilize clinical decision-making protocols and nursing judgment to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Provide patient education on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Refer patients to emergency services, urgent care, primary care, or specialty clinics as needed.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to telehealth practices and clinical guidelines.
- Monitor and follow up on patient cases as required to ensure continuity of care.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (or eligible for licensure in Indiana)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care, emergency room, or clinical setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient interactions simultaneously
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in a triage or telehealth specific role
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Familiarity with chronic disease management
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish)
