Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated UX/UI Researcher to join our Product Design Professional Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading user research activities across the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to post-launch optimization. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to uncover user needs, validate hypotheses, and inform design decisions with robust, actionable insights. Your expertise in various research methodologies will be critical in shaping the future of our digital products and ensuring they meet both user needs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute a wide range of user research activities including usability testing, interviews, surveys, field studies, and competitive analysis.
- Recruit and manage participants for research studies, ensuring diverse representation.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user pain points, behaviors, motivations, and opportunities.
- Translate complex research findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for product and design teams.
- Create comprehensive research reports, user personas, journey maps, and empathy maps.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and developers to integrate research insights into the product development process.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product lifecycle, influencing strategy and design decisions.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging research methodologies, and tools to continually enhance our research capabilities.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in UX research, user experience design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys, card sorting, A/B testing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with research tools such as UserTesting, Qualtrics, Optimal Workshop, or similar.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing research methodologies, insights, and impact on product design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Design, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
- Understanding of front-end development technologies and their impact on user experience.
- Experience mentoring junior researchers or contributing to research team best practices.
