Job Description

EF Education First is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated TEFL/ESL Teachers to deliver engaging online English lessons to students worldwide. This is a fantastic opportunity to work from the comfort of your home, setting your own schedule and making a real difference in students’ language journeys. You will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students achieve their English proficiency goals. This 100% remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive online English lessons to students of various age groups and proficiency levels.
- Prepare lesson materials and activities that align with EF's curriculum guidelines.
- Provide constructive feedback and assess student progress regularly.
- Maintain a positive and supportive virtual classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with students and occasionally with parents regarding student performance and progress.
- Attend occasional online professional development sessions as required.
- Ensure a stable internet connection and a quiet teaching environment.
Required Skills
- Native English speaker with excellent pronunciation and grammar skills.
- Valid TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (minimum 120 hours).
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms and basic computer skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students effectively in a virtual setting.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a working computer/laptop with a webcam and headset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching English online or in a classroom setting.
- Familiarity with various online teaching tools and methodologies.
- Experience teaching children and/or adults.
