Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Solutions Consultant to join our team in Sunderland. As a Solutions Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the pre-sales process, working closely with our sales team to understand prospective clients’ business needs and demonstrate how Sage’s cutting-edge software solutions can address their challenges and drive success. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from our modern Sunderland office and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and understand customer business requirements and technical challenges.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops tailored to specific client needs and industry contexts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Sage's product portfolio, articulating value propositions and technical capabilities effectively.
  • Design and propose innovative solution architectures that integrate Sage products with existing client systems.
  • Support the sales team in responding to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information) with detailed technical responses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams based on market needs and customer insights.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and new product releases.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pre-sales, technical consulting, or similar client-facing role within the software industry.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into effective software solutions.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in demonstrating software solutions and articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A solid understanding of ERP, CRM, accounting, or HR software principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with Sage products or similar business management software.
  • Industry-specific experience relevant to our target markets (e.g., manufacturing, retail, services).
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or platforms.
