Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Morning Maintenance assistant in Whyalla. This part-time role is crucial for ensuring our store premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained for our customers and team members, particularly during crucial morning hours. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth operation and inviting atmosphere of our retail environment. This position offers a consistent morning schedule, perfect for those looking for flexible yet stable employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties across the store, including floors, restrooms, and customer areas.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs, fixing trolleys, or addressing small spills.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards, proactively addressing issues as they arise.
- Assist with waste management, including bin emptying and recycling efforts.
- Report larger maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Operate basic cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Support store operations by maintaining a clean and presentable environment.
- Adhere to the morning roster and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
