Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate start in a dynamic retail environment? Stop & Shop in Dorchester, MA is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Grocery Clerk / Stocker. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training for all new hires! In this role, you will be crucial to maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and organized store, ensuring our customers have a pleasant shopping experience. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise on shelves, ensuring proper rotation and placement
- Assist customers with finding products and provide friendly, helpful service
- Maintain clean and organized aisles, shelves, and backroom areas
- Monitor product expiration dates and remove outdated items
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks safely (training provided)
- Contribute to a positive team environment and adhere to all safety protocols
- Support inventory management and special promotions as needed
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service role (even non-retail)
