Job Description

Are you a musician with a knack for sales and a deep understanding of guitars and keyboards? Guitar Center in Glendale is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Musical Instrument Sales Advisor to join our dynamic team. This is a commission-based role where your expertise and sales skills will directly impact your earnings. You’ll be responsible for assisting customers in finding the perfect instruments and gear, providing expert advice, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their musical needs and preferences.
  • Demonstrate and explain the features and benefits of guitars, keyboards, and related accessories.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations based on customer skill level and budget.
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and commission goals.
  • Maintain an in-to-depth knowledge of current products, brands, and industry trends.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
  • Assist with merchandise display, inventory management, and store cleanliness.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster repeat business.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency in playing both guitar and keyboard instruments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive sales approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with sales technology.
