Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Director to lead our exceptional catering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort’s catering operations, from initial client contact and event planning to flawless execution. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with a passion for hospitality, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven track record in driving sales and delivering unforgettable events. You will work closely with our culinary team, sales department, and event managers to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic catering sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the catering sales and operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all catered events, including weddings, corporate meetings, social gatherings, and galas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their vision is brought to life.
  • Prepare detailed event proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs).
  • Manage catering budgets, forecast revenue, and control costs effectively.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menus and presentations.
  • Conduct site inspections and client meetings to showcase the resort's capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Actively participate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote the resort's catering services.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering sales and management, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in catering management software (e.g., Delphi, Amadeus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing budgets.
  • Deep understanding of food and beverage operations, event planning, and service standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in event planning or catering management.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
