Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic AV (Audio Visual) Integration Intern to join our Corporate IT team in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about technology, eager to learn about AV systems, and ready to kickstart their career in a dynamic IT environment. As an intern, you will receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience in supporting the integration and maintenance of various audio-visual technologies, working alongside experienced professionals. No prior professional experience in AV is required; we are looking for candidates with a strong desire to learn and a foundational interest in technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and testing of AV equipment, including projectors, displays, cameras, microphones, and video conferencing systems.
- Support the troubleshooting and maintenance of existing AV infrastructure.
- Learn to read and interpret AV system diagrams and schematics.
- Provide technical support for meetings and events requiring AV assistance.
- Document system configurations, maintenance procedures, and incident resolutions.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and IT staff on various projects.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Shadow experienced technicians and actively participate in on-site installations and service calls.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in Audio Visual technology, IT systems, and electronics.
- Basic understanding of computer networks and operating systems.

- Familiarity with common AV brands or basic knowledge of video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools (for installations).
