Job Description
Join the Whole Foods Market team in Stamford as a Florist Bucket Washer. This essential back-of-house role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our floral department’s wet work area. You will be responsible for ensuring all floral buckets, vases, and tools are meticulously cleaned and ready for use, contributing directly to the freshness and quality of our floral offerings. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy a physically active role in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided, no prior experience in floristry or similar roles is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize floral buckets, vases, and other containers daily.
- Clean and maintain floral tools, ensuring they are free of debris and in good working order.
- Organize clean buckets and supplies in designated storage areas.
- Assist with general upkeep and cleanliness of the floral back-of-house area, including sweeping and mopping.
- Dispose of floral waste and water in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Support the floral team with ad-hoc tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth operation.
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a wet and sometimes cool environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
- No prior experience required; full training provided.
