Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Customs Officers with administrative tasks and data entry related to border crossings.
  • Provide excellent customer service to travellers and commercial clients, answering inquiries and providing directions.
  • Process and verify travel documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor and control access to designated areas within border facilities.
  • Support the screening of goods and individuals under the supervision of a Customs Officer.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
