Job Description
Join Toll Group, a leader in the logistics industry, as a Dockhand in our Penrith facility. We are experiencing urgent openings and are looking for dedicated and efficient individuals to support our fast-paced operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth flow of goods, handling freight, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring the timely dispatch and receipt of shipments. This is a critical hands-on role that requires physical stamina and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Sort, stage, and move goods within the warehouse facility.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or dockhand role.
- Valid forklift operator license (LF class).
- Experience with material handling equipment.
- Understanding of basic freight and logistics operations.
