Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Nuclear Safety Admin to join our specialized science sector team in Albury. This role is crucial in supporting the administrative functions of our safety and compliance programs, ensuring meticulous record-keeping, documentation management, and operational support in a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our safety management systems, contributing to a secure and compliant operational framework for our advanced scientific projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain safety documentation, including policies, procedures, incident reports, and audit findings.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate safety training schedules and maintain training records for all personnel.
- Facilitate communication between safety officers, project teams, and regulatory bodies.
- Organise and minute safety meetings, ensuring action items are tracked and completed.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety management systems.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the specialized science sector team, including data entry and correspondence management.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to strict regulatory and company standards.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative experience in a professional office environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- A high degree of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous administrative experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., defence, energy, pharmaceutical, environmental).
- Familiarity with safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).
- Understanding of compliance and documentation control principles.
- Relevant administrative certification or diploma.
