Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Appliance Technician to join our dynamic service team in Parramatta. As a Whitegoods Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of domestic appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and cooktops. This role requires excellent technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. You will primarily be conducting field service calls within the greater Parramatta region.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnosis and efficient repair of various whitegoods in residential settings.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks on appliances.
- Order and manage parts inventory for repairs.
- Provide clear explanations of repairs and operational advice to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage your daily schedule of service appointments effectively.
- Offer exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience with every interaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an Appliance Technician, specifically with whitegoods.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical faults.
- Technical proficiency with common whitegoods brands and models.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
- Valid Australian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification or certification in appliance repair or electrical trades (e.g., Certificate III in Electrotechnology).
- Experience with smart home appliances and networked systems.
- F-Gas Refrigerant Handling License (if applicable to refrigeration repairs).
- Prior experience working in a field service role with a focus on customer satisfaction.
