Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Auto Body Shop Sweeper to join our team in Rochester, MN. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of our busy auto body shop. You will play a vital role in ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment for our technicians, customers, and all visitors. Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum all shop floors, work areas, and common spaces regularly.
- Empty trash, recycling bins, and hazardous waste containers safely and according to established procedures.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and office areas as needed.
- Wipe down surfaces, tools, and equipment to prevent dust and debris buildup.
- Assist with organizing and storing supplies, parts, and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to management.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to consistent attendance.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness and organization.
- Basic understanding of safety practices in a workshop environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a cleaning, janitorial, or general labor role (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with auto body shop environments or industrial settings.
