Job Description
Join GDI Integrated Facility Services as a Graffiti Removal Technician! This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a hands-on role with full training provided. You will be responsible for effectively and safely removing graffiti from various surfaces in public and private spaces, contributing to the beautification and maintenance of our community. No prior experience is necessary – we will provide all the tools, techniques, and safety training you need to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently remove graffiti from buildings, signs, and other public/private property using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
- Inspect affected areas to determine the best removal method and product.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including pressure washers, sandblasters, and chemical applicators.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations during removal processes.
- Properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with company and local guidelines.
- Document work completed, including before-and-after photos and details of materials used.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the public.
- Work collaboratively with other departments as needed for comprehensive property maintenance.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures diligently.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G-Class Driver's License with a clean driving record (or equivalent provincial license).
