Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Aviation, Marine & Niche Specialist to join our dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This role is crucial for delivering specialized risk management and insurance solutions to clients operating in complex aviation and marine sectors, as well as other niche markets. The specialist will be responsible for understanding intricate client needs, developing comprehensive insurance programs, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients with aviation, marine, and other niche insurance requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyze client operations to identify potential exposures.
- Design and implement bespoke insurance programs, negotiating terms with underwriters to secure optimal coverage.
- Manage the entire client lifecycle, from initial consultation and proposal development to policy placement and ongoing service.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks within the aviation, marine, and niche sectors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including claims and broking, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and other industry stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients, summarizing coverage, market conditions, and recommendations.
- Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's client base in specialist areas.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial insurance broking or underwriting, with a focus on aviation, marine, or specialized risks.
- Strong understanding of complex insurance products and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to analyze intricate client needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
