Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Bakehouse Flour Sweeper to join our night shift team at our Barking location. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our busy bakery, ensuring a safe and pristine environment for our morning operations. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough sweeping and cleaning of all flour-related areas, including floors, work surfaces, and equipment.
- Operate industrial sweeping and cleaning machinery safely and effectively.
- Empty waste bins and manage refuse according to company standards.
- Clean and sanitise bakery tools and utensils as required.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the shift supervisor.
- Assist with other general cleaning duties as needed to ensure the entire bakehouse meets cleanliness targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual, with excellent attendance.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles (training provided).
- No prior experience required; full training will be given.
