Job Description
We are seeking an innovative and passionate Blockchain Developer / Web3 Engineer to join our growing team in Swansea. This role is crucial for developing and implementing cutting-edge decentralized applications and blockchain solutions. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust smart contracts, integrating blockchain technologies with existing systems, and contributing to the architectural decisions of our Web3 initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Solana).
- Develop and integrate decentralized applications (dApps) using Web3 technologies and frameworks.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement technical requirements for blockchain solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and optimization of smart contracts and dApps.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in blockchain and Web3 technologies.
- Contribute to the architectural design and technical specifications of new blockchain projects.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of blockchain infrastructure and applications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Solidity or other smart contract programming languages (e.g., Rust, Vyper).
- Experience with blockchain development frameworks and tools (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry).
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, and decentralized consensus mechanisms.
- Familiarity with Web3.js, Ethers.js, or similar libraries for interacting with blockchain networks.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Layer 2 scaling solutions or cross-chain interoperability.
- Knowledge of decentralized finance (DeFi) or NFT ecosystems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying blockchain infrastructure.
- Contribution to open-source blockchain projects.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
