Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Catering Van Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of our catering orders to various event locations across Fontana and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for loading and unloading catering equipment and food items, maintaining the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle, and representing Eventide Catering Co. with professionalism at every drop-off. A clean driving record is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery van to transport catering orders to event venues.
- Load and unload food, beverages, and catering equipment with care and efficiency.
- Verify order accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
- Adhere to scheduled delivery times and adjust routes as necessary to ensure punctuality.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, ensuring a positive experience.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety standards.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and read maps effectively.
