Job Description
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as Day Shift Casual Couriers in Palmerston, NT. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for flexible work arrangements within a dynamic logistics environment. As a casual courier, you will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of various parcels and documents across the Palmerston region during day shift hours. We value punctuality, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Full training on our systems and delivery protocols will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle for pickups and deliveries.
- Collect and deliver parcels, packages, and documents to various business and residential locations.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of deliveries and collections, including proof of delivery.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all customers.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25kg.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with the Palmerston, NT area or ability to quickly learn routes.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or courier role is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
