Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable individual to join our team as a Distillery Barrel Mover. This is a vital, hands-on role within our warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of our maturing casks. You will play a crucial part in the journey of our fine spirits, from distillation to bottling. We are looking for someone reliable, with a strong work ethic, who is ready to take on the physical demands of handling heavy barrels. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move, roll, and position heavy distillery barrels and casks within the warehouse.
- Operate various barrel moving equipment, such as barrel trucks, hydraulic lifts, and specialized dollies, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of casks from transport vehicles.
- Inspect casks for any signs of damage or leakage and report findings promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in the warehouse.
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Support inventory management activities, including accurate record-keeping of cask movements and locations.
- Perform other manual handling duties as required to support distillery operations.

- Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
- A strong commitment to safety and following established procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manual labour role.
- Experience operating manual handling equipment.
- Basic understanding of distillery operations or a keen interest in the spirits industry.
