Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative E-Learning Specialist / Technologist to join our dedicated team in Oxford. This role is crucial in designing, developing, and implementing engaging digital learning solutions across a range of educational products and platforms. You will be instrumental in leveraging cutting-edge e-learning technologies and instructional design principles to enhance the learning experience for a global audience. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging, interactive, and effective e-learning courses and modules using various authoring tools and multimedia resources.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and content creators to translate educational content into compelling digital formats.
- Manage and administer Learning Management Systems (LMS), including course setup, user management, and technical support.
- Evaluate and recommend new e-learning technologies, tools, and trends to enhance our digital learning offerings.
- Ensure all e-learning materials are accessible, user-friendly, and adhere to relevant quality and accessibility standards.
- Provide technical support and training to users and content creators on e-learning platforms and tools.
- Conduct quality assurance and testing of e-learning content to ensure functionality and instructional effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise 360).
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
- Ability to create engaging multimedia content (graphics, audio, video) for e-learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and other e-learning standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
- Experience working in an educational publishing or academic environment.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) for digital content.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for e-learning content customization.
- Project management experience in an e-learning context.
