Job Description
We are seeking a highly efficient and accurate Data Entry Operator for a critical 6-month contract with our government client in Liverpool. This role involves processing a high volume of sensitive information with precision and speed, ensuring data integrity and compliance with strict government guidelines. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, reliable, and capable of working independently within a structured environment. You will be instrumental in supporting vital public services by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. This is an on-site position based at our Liverpool office.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately inputting a high volume of alphanumeric data from various sources into designated systems.
- Verifying data for errors and inconsistencies, correcting or escalating as necessary.
- Maintaining data integrity and confidentiality in accordance with government regulations and GDPR.
- Organising and filing documents, both physical and digital, to support data entry tasks.
- Generating basic reports and summaries as required.
- Adhering to strict deadlines and performance targets for data processing.
- Communicating effectively with team members regarding data discrepancies or operational challenges.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data entry or a similar administrative role (minimum 12 months).
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (e.g., 50+ WPM with high accuracy).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment.
- Familiarity with various database systems.
- An understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
