Job Description
Are you ready to bring fear to life? Banff Frights & Delights is seeking enthusiastic and energetic Scare Actors for our upcoming seasonal haunted house event. This is an incredible opportunity for individuals who love performance, have a passion for Halloween, and enjoy working in a dynamic, high-energy environment. You’ll be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering an immersive, terrifying, and fun experience for our guests during evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Portray assigned characters convincingly to frighten and entertain guests.
- Maintain character and costume integrity throughout shifts.
- Interact with guests in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other scare actors and event staff to create an immersive atmosphere.
- Participate in rehearsals and training sessions as required.
- Assist with basic setup and takedown of performance areas if needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality for evening shifts.
Required Skills
- Strong theatrical presence and ability to project voice/character.
- Reliability and excellent attendance, especially for evening and weekend shifts.
- Ability to take direction and adapt to character adjustments.
- Comfortable working in dark, confined, and loud environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
- Enthusiasm for frightening people and creating memorable experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in acting, theater, performance art, or haunted attractions.
- Experience with improvisation.
- Knowledge of theatrical makeup or costume application.
