Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Systems Data Auditor to join our team. In this ongoing full-time role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of our various data systems and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. You will identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data management practices. This hybrid role offers flexibility while maintaining a strong team connection.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular and ad-hoc data audits across various systems and databases.
- Verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data records and system outputs.
- Identify data integrity issues, root causes, and potential risks.
- Develop and implement audit plans, methodologies, and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with IT, business units, and compliance teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Document audit findings, recommendations, and follow-up activities in a clear and concise manner.
- Contribute to the enhancement of data governance frameworks and internal controls.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements to enhance data quality.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data auditing, data analysis, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, advanced Excel, data visualisation tools).
- Understanding of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and regulatory compliance (e.g., APRA, ASIC).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional).
- Experience with enterprise-level systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CRM platforms).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation and analysis.
