Job Description

Prior Park College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our thriving department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across various key stages, inspiring a love for mathematics, and contributing to the vibrant life of the school. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team in an exceptional educational environment, fostering academic excellence and holistic development in our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level.
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of students.
  • Inspire and motivate students, fostering a positive learning environment where all students feel challenged and supported.
  • Contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, enrichment programs, and school events.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and well-being.
  • Uphold the College's values and ethos, contributing positively to the school community.

Required Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Proven ability to teach Mathematics effectively to secondary school students up to A-Level.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for mathematics and a commitment to inspiring young learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching in an independent school setting.
  • Experience with various examination boards (e.g., Edexcel, AQA, OCR).
  • Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities, suchs as mathematics clubs or competitions.
