Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our compassionate team in Idaho Falls. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for senior care who may require Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to work in the U.S. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality personal care, emotional support, and engaging activities to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Administer medication in accordance with care plans and company policies.
- Monitor and record residents' health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, promoting independence and engagement.
- Engage residents in social activities, exercises, and recreational programs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a care assistant or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong observational and reporting skills.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation.
- Understanding of health and safety guidelines in a care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant care qualification (e.g., CNA certification or equivalent).
- Experience working with residents with dementia or other complex needs.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
