Job Description

Fulton Hogan is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Traffic Controllers on the Sunshine Coast. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive, fully paid training to equip you with all the necessary skills and certifications. This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level role with a clear path for growth within the civil construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely direct traffic around construction sites, roadworks, and events.
- Operate stop/slow bats, signs, and other traffic control devices according to established plans and procedures.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and team members.
- Set up and dismantle traffic control zones as per approved plans.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel and the general public.
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust controls as necessary to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all WHS policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Current and valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and lift traffic control equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a role requiring attention to detail or public interaction.
