Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in a vital sector of international trade and compliance? DHL Global Forwarding is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Trainee Customs Revenue Collectors. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure accurate customs declarations and revenue collection at port and border locations. You will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth trade operations while upholding regulatory standards. No prior experience in customs or logistics is required; we provide all the necessary training and support for you to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Undergo comprehensive training on customs regulations, import/export procedures, and revenue collection processes.
- Assist in the verification of customs declarations and supporting documentation.
- Learn to calculate and collect applicable duties, taxes, and fees according to established guidelines.
- Support senior collectors in identifying and resolving discrepancies in customs entries.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications.
- Communicate effectively with clients, customs officials, and internal teams regarding compliance matters.
- Adhere to all company policies, as well as national and international trade laws.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new regulations and procedures quickly.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- No prior experience required; full training provided.

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Interest in international trade, law enforcement, or government regulations.
