Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Test & Validation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tyler, Texas. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products through comprehensive testing and validation processes. The successful candidate will design, execute, and analyze tests, identify potential issues, and work collaboratively with engineering teams to implement solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and cases based on product specifications and requirements.
- Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment and instrumentation.
- Conduct various types of testing, including functional, performance, durability, environmental, and stress tests.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data, documenting results and identifying trends or anomalies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot product defects and performance issues during testing.
- Collaborate with design, development, and manufacturing teams to resolve identified issues and improve product designs.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and validation strategies.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in testing and validation.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in test and validation engineering.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating test equipment and data acquisition systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with specific industry standards for product testing (e.g., SAE, ISO, ASTM).
- Familiarity with environmental chamber testing or vibration testing.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis for test data.
- Experience in the heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial machinery sector.
- Experience working with international teams and diverse cultural backgrounds.
