Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Part-time Courier Runners in the Port Macquarie CBD. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking for day work with flexible hours. As a Courier Runner, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of parcels and documents within the central business district, ensuring exceptional service to our valued customers. Full training will be provided to the right candidates who demonstrate a commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick up and deliver packages, letters, and documents within the Port Macquarie CBD.
- Adhere strictly to assigned delivery schedules and routes.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during all interactions.
- Handle all items with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate any delivery issues or delays promptly to the operations team.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all road safety regulations.
- Complete delivery logs and paperwork accurately.
- Ensure your vehicle (if personal) is well-maintained and roadworthy.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Car Class C)
- Clean driving record (minimal to no infringements)
- Reliable personal vehicle suitable for deliveries (e.g., car, small van)
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 15kg.
- Basic knowledge of the Port Macquarie CBD or willingness to learn quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or logistics role (not essential, training provided).
- Familiarity with navigation tools and local area knowledge.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
