Job Description
Hunter Valley Builders Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and physically fit Bricklayer’s Labourer to join our dynamic construction team in Maitland, NSW. This is a high-physical role perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, are reliable, and eager to learn the fundamentals of bricklaying and construction. No prior experience in bricklaying is required; we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and the physical capacity to handle demanding tasks. Full on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate, offering a fantastic opportunity to kickstart a career in the construction industry. Weekly pay ensures you are rewarded promptly for your hard work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting bricklayers with materials, tools, and equipment.
- Mixing mortar and concrete to required specifications.
- Loading, unloading, and moving bricks, blocks, and other construction materials.
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy, removing debris and waste.
- Setting up and dismantling scaffolding as instructed.
- Operating basic hand and power tools safely.
- Following all site safety procedures and regulations.
- Performing general labouring duties as required by site supervisors.
Required Skills
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications
- Current White Card (General Construction Induction Training).
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- Previous experience in a physical labour role (e.g., landscaping, warehousing).
- First Aid certification.
