Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Acoustic Engineering Intern for a Sound Design Placement. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with acoustic measurements and data collection on-site and in the lab.
  • Support the design and modeling of acoustic solutions using specialized software.
  • Conduct literature reviews and research on acoustic materials, technologies, and best practices.
  • Prepare preliminary reports and documentation for ongoing projects.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for sound design challenges.
  • Learn to operate and calibrate acoustic testing equipment.
  • Help organize and maintain project data and acoustic libraries.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of acoustic principles and sound wave physics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced professional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with acoustic simulation software (e.g., Odeon, COMSOL, EASE) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is beneficial.
