Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Acoustic Engineering Intern for a Sound Design Placement. This is an unparalleled opportunity for an emerging professional to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of acoustic engineering and sound design. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with acoustic measurements and data collection on-site and in the lab.
- Support the design and modeling of acoustic solutions using specialized software.
- Conduct literature reviews and research on acoustic materials, technologies, and best practices.
- Prepare preliminary reports and documentation for ongoing projects.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for sound design challenges.
- Learn to operate and calibrate acoustic testing equipment.
- Help organize and maintain project data and acoustic libraries.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of acoustic principles and sound wave physics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced professional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with acoustic simulation software (e.g., Odeon, COMSOL, EASE) is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is beneficial.
