Job Description

Elders Rural Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sheep Station Hand to join one of our partner stations. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity where no prior experience is required – we provide full, comprehensive training to the right candidate. This role involves assisting with the daily care and management of sheep, maintaining station infrastructure, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of the property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily feeding and watering of sheep, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Participate in mustering, shearing preparations, and lambing duties as required.
  • Monitor livestock for signs of illness or injury and report findings to the Station Manager.
  • Undertake general farm maintenance, including fencing repairs, water infrastructure upkeep, and equipment cleaning.
  • Operate and maintain station vehicles and machinery safely after receiving appropriate training.
  • Help with pest and weed control initiatives across the property.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in sheds and communal areas.
  • Adhere strictly to all animal welfare guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the station team to ensure efficient operations.
