Job Description

We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Nurse to join our dynamic team in Laval, Quebec. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Develop and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medication management, and self-care techniques.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote their independence.
  • Document patient progress accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning conferences.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
  • Advocate for patients' needs and facilitate their transition back into the community.

Required Skills

  • Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and care planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in rehabilitation, acute care, long-term care, or a similar setting.
  • Certification in rehabilitation nursing (CRN) or willingness to obtain.
  • Proficiency in both English and French (oral and written) is a significant asset.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
