Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol designated areas within Hackney to enforce parking restrictions and regulations.
  • Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) accurately and impartially to vehicles in contravention.
  • Provide clear and helpful information to the public regarding parking regulations and local amenities.
  • Report incidents, environmental issues, and abandoned vehicles as per established procedures.
  • Operate handheld electronic devices for recording contraventions and managing data.
  • Assist in managing traffic flow during special events or disruptions as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities and incidents.

Required Skills

  • Excellent observational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with the public and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a designated patrol area efficiently.
  • Resilience and tact when dealing with challenging situations or confrontational individuals.
  • Basic IT literacy to operate handheld devices and complete digital records.
  • A commitment to public service and upholding local regulations.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a public-facing role or enforcement capacity.
  • Good knowledge of the Hackney area and its road network.
  • A full, clean UK driving license.
  • Basic first aid certification.
