Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly visible Event Parking Director to oversee all parking operations for our diverse range of events in Fort Worth. This critical role ensures smooth traffic flow, efficient parking, and an excellent first impression for all event attendees. You will be a key point of contact, often standing outdoors in various weather conditions, guiding guests, and managing a team to maintain operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced event environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all aspects of event parking operations, including traffic flow, lot assignments, and guest assistance.
- Direct and train a team of parking attendants, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and service standards.
- Stand outdoors for extended periods, providing clear directions and a welcoming presence to arriving and departing guests.
- Coordinate with event staff, security, and local authorities to optimize parking strategies and resolve issues promptly.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, ticketing systems, and inventory management for parking resources.
- Develop and implement efficient parking plans for various event types and capacities.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Monitor parking areas for cleanliness, safety hazards, and proper signage.
- Prepare post-event reports on parking operations, attendance, and revenue.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in events, hospitality, or operations.
- Ability to stand and walk outdoors for long periods in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting and scheduling.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in parking management or traffic control.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and event permitting processes.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
