Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the hospitality industry? Boston Pizza in Mississauga is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as Bar and Waiting Staff! No prior experience is necessary – we believe in potential and provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. This is a fantastic opportunity for those eager to learn the ropes of bartending and serving, with the added benefit of flexible shifts and weekly tip payouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests warmly, managing waitlists as needed.
- Present menus, answer questions about food and beverage items, and make recommendations.
- Accurately take food and drink orders and input them into our POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to Boston Pizza recipes and standards (training provided).
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to any inquiries or issues.
- Process payments efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all food safety and responsible alcohol service regulations.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training provided!
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Smart Serve certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire – company may assist).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
