Job Description
Join Stagecoach West as a professional Coach Driver based in Bicester. You will be responsible for operating our modern fleet of coaches, providing safe, efficient, and friendly transport services for our passengers. This role involves driving various routes, ensuring adherence to schedules, and maintaining high standards of customer service. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about driving and committed to passenger safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate coaches on designated routes and schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with inquiries and ensuring a pleasant journey.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations, company policies, and driving hour limits.
- Conduct pre-departure vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Handle passenger fares and tickets accurately using ticketing equipment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Assist passengers with disabilities or special needs as required.
Required Skills
- Valid UK PCV (Category D) driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Excellent driving record.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a coach or bus driver.
- Local geographical knowledge of Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.
- First Aid certification.
