Job Description
Join the crew at Epic Loot Games & Comics as a Comic Book & Hobby Store Cashier! We’re seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to be the friendly face of our store. This role involves processing transactions, assisting customers, maintaining a tidy sales floor, and contributing to our welcoming atmosphere. If you love comics, games, and engaging with fellow enthusiasts in a relaxed setting, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using our POS system
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and checkout area
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise as needed
- Answer customer inquiries about products, store policies, and loyalty programs
- Assist with inventory tasks, including receiving and pricing new shipments
- Promote a positive and friendly atmosphere for all customers and team members
- Learn about new releases and popular items to better assist customers
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- A passion for comic books, graphic novels, board games, or pop culture
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role (not required, but a plus)
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
