Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Logistics & Distribution Head to lead our operations in Bradenton, FL. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our logistics and distribution network, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and exceptional service delivery. The successful candidate will drive strategic initiatives, manage a large team, optimize processes, and contribute significantly to our continued growth. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for logistics and distribution operations.
- Oversee daily operations of warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and delivery.
- Manage and optimize budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across various functions.
- Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and service levels.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Utilize data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and productivity.
Required Skills
- Expertise in supply chain management and logistics operations.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and supply chain software (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certifications such as APICS CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies in a logistics context.
- International logistics and customs clearance experience.
