Job Description

Automatic Retailing (AR) is actively seeking a highly dedicated and self-motivated Vending Machine Snack Restocker to join our dynamic team in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working independently and thrives on the open road. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring our extensive network of vending machines across a designated route are consistently fully stocked, impeccably clean, and always operational, thereby providing our valued customers with a seamless and satisfying experience. A reliable company van will be provided for your exclusive use on your route, empowering you to manage your schedule efficiently and effectively within our established operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a company-provided van safely and efficiently along a designated daily route.
• Accurately restock vending machines with a wide variety of snacks, beverages, and other approved products.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on vending machines to ensure optimal functionality and presentation standards.
• Collect cash from machines, meticulously record sales data, and accurately reconcile inventory with collected funds.
• Monitor product levels diligently and track inventory usage patterns to anticipate stocking needs and minimize waste.
• Proactively identify and promptly report any machine malfunctions, technical issues, or repair requirements to the service department.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with client site contacts, providing excellent customer service during each visit.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies, rigorous health and safety regulations, and applicable driving laws.
• Manage and organize product inventory effectively within the company van.

Required Skills

• Valid UK driving license with a clean driving record (essential).
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move product cases weighing up to 25kg frequently throughout the day.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently plan and execute daily routes.
• Basic mathematical aptitude for accurate cash handling, inventory reconciliation, and record-keeping.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong, proactive work ethic.
• A self-motivated individual, comfortable working independently without constant supervision.
• Effective communication skills to interact professionally with clients and internal team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a route-based driving, delivery, or merchandising role is a distinct advantage.
• Familiarity with the Banbury area and surrounding local routes.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with simple machine troubleshooting.
