Georgian Bay Septic Solutions is seeking a motivated and physically fit Septic Tank Pumping Helper to join our dedicated team in Owen Sound. You’ll be assisting experienced technicians with the pumping and maintenance of septic tanks, ensuring proper waste disposal and system functionality. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians in the safe and efficient pumping of septic tanks and other waste systems.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including hoses, pumps, and tools, under supervision.
- Perform routine vehicle and equipment checks to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Set up work sites, including placing warning signs and cones, and ensure proper cleanup upon completion.
- Help with basic system inspections and report any abnormalities to the lead technician.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.
- Interact professionally with clients, representing the company with courtesy and respect.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments, occasionally under adverse weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable with the odorous nature of the work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor labor.
