Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to kick-start your career in a dynamic outdoor environment? Monadelphous is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team in Port Hedland as a Surveyor’s Chainman Assistant. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit, and eager to learn the foundational aspects of surveying on major industrial and civil projects. You will work closely with experienced Surveyors, assisting them with various tasks crucial for accurate measurements and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Surveyors with the setup and operation of surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and levels.
- Carry and set up survey poles, tripods, and other field equipment.
- Clear vegetation and obstacles to ensure clear lines of sight for surveying instruments.
- Mark and label survey points, lines, and reference markers as directed.
- Perform basic measurements and record data under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and good working order of survey tools and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety procedures and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the survey team and other site personnel.
