Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented E-commerce Photography Stylist Assistant to join our studio team. This entry-level role is crucial in ensuring all products are impeccably prepared for our e-commerce photo shoots. You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and meticulously prepping merchandise, working closely with our stylists and photographers to maintain efficient workflow and high-quality visual standards. Full training will be provided to the right candidate with a passion for retail and visual merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack incoming merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory and organization.
- Inspect products for defects, cleanliness, and completeness before shoots.
- Steam, iron, clean, and otherwise prepare garments, accessories, and other products to styling standards.
- Organize products by shoot schedule, category, and stylist requirements.
- Assist stylists with on-set organization, prop management, and minor adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a tidy and organized studio and storage area.
- Assist with packing and returning merchandise after shoots.
- Collaborate effectively with the photography, styling, and logistics teams.
- Learn and adhere to all studio guidelines and best practices for product handling.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive and eager to learn new processes and techniques.
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., email, simple data entry).
- Physical ability to lift and move merchandise (up to 25 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment or visual merchandising is a plus.
- An interest in e-commerce, fashion, photography, or creative arts.
- Familiarity with steaming or garment care techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
