Job Description
The City of Calgary is seeking highly organized and detail-oriented individuals for the seasonal contract role of Election Office Clerk. This is an immediate hire position crucial for supporting the upcoming municipal election activities. As an Election Office Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of election processes, providing administrative support, and assisting voters. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Election Office, including data entry, filing, and record keeping.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of election materials.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding voter registration, polling locations, and election procedures via phone and in-person.
- Verify voter information and process registration updates accurately.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all election-related documents and information.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of election facilities as needed.
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned to ensure election readiness and execution.
