Job Description

Jo Malone London is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Fragrance & Olfactory Intern to join our Product Development team in Bicester. This is an unparalleled opportunity for an aspiring professional to gain hands-on experience within a globally recognized luxury brand. You will support our expert perfumers and product developers, learning the intricate process from concept ideation to final product launch. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Product Development team in the creation and evaluation of new fragrance concepts.
- Support perfumers with raw material preparation, fragrance compounding, and sample management in the lab.
- Conduct market research on olfactory trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences.
- Prepare and organize fragrance submissions and sensory evaluation sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, testing results, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, packaging, and regulatory affairs.
- Contribute creative ideas and insights to product development discussions.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated passion and keen interest in fragrances, perfumery, or the beauty industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new concepts and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetics Science, Perfumery, or a related scientific field.
- Previous academic or volunteer experience in a laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with fragrance raw materials or olfactory evaluation techniques.
- Knowledge of industry trends in luxury goods or personal care.
